Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee it is my pleasure and honour to welcome you to Warsaw, Poland for the XIV International Symposium on Brain Edema and Brain Tissue Injury.

The Symposium will be hosted by the Department of Neurosurgery and M. Mossakowski Medical Research Centre, Polish Academy of Sciences from June 11 to June 14, 2008.

This fourteenth symposium is devoted, similarly to all the previous meetings, to the broad spectrum of brain edema and tissue injury problems. Topics will cover pathomechanisms, diagnosis and treatment, focusing on the clinical aspects thereof.

We believe, the meeting will attract many leading scientists from all over the world and we anticipate hosting the most important specialists in these areas.

Participants will discuss both oral and poster presentations.

This is the first time the Brain Edema and Tissue Injury Symposium is being held in one of the new-joiner states of the European Union and is an excellent opportunity for you to enjoy the numerous places of interest in old and new Warsaw and to participate in the post-symposium tour to Krakow - historic capital of Poland.
